Convert Citi statements to Excel, CSV, QuickBooks & Xero
Citi credit card statements (Double Cash, Custom Cash, Premier) separate payments and credits from purchases, and list fees and interest at the end. Citi checking statements use a classic debit/credit/balance grid.
How Citi statements are handled
For card statements we record purchases as debits and payments as credits, which is how accounting software expects a liability account to be imported. The statement's new balance is captured as closing balance metadata.
Tips for Citi Citi checking and Citi credit cards statements
- Authorized-user purchases appear under a separate cardholder heading; they are merged into the same ledger.
- Foreign transaction fees are kept as their own rows so they can be categorized as Fees & Charges.
- Use QBO export to bring card activity straight into a QuickBooks credit card account.
